Amanda & Marlon, an incredibly humble couple, and such a joy to be around. And boy was I happy our paths crossed. In fact, it felt like it was fate. I know super cheesy, but hear me out.
When Amanda first reached out to me, she told me she was going to be a very untraditional bride. Her “wedding”, what at the time she didn’t really feel like it was, would be very small and not the one she dreamed of. You see, Amanda and Marlon are full-time students moving to a new state as husband and wife, a fresh start. They wanted to make it official, but couldn’t justify an elaborate wedding. I understood her completely, my husband and I also had a very untraditional wedding, not the one of our dreams, but we had one nonetheless. I told Amanda that my goal was to make her feel like she was having the wedding of her dreams, because at the end of the day the size of your wedding doesn’t make you husband and wife. In the end, what you will remember is the day you said your vows in front of those you love and hold dear to your hearts.
It doesn’t stop there, at the reception, I came across a fellow mom from my son’s school who has been a part of my life for a few years now. And as I sat down to have dinner, by chance, I sat next to a nurse from my son’s doctor’s office who happens to be my cousins great friend. I love how fate leads us to to people. Life has a beautiful way of working itself out.
